Hong Kong Insta-Diary // What to Eat, Where to Shop…
When traveling somewhere for the first time, the location of your hotel is very important. This will serve as your ‘home-base’ for the entirety of your trip, and should usually be Central in the city, or in a neighborhood you’ll be spending most of your time. When I was planning my trip to Hong Kong, I chose a Central location that would make exploring the city easy. I was close to all public transport including the Star Ferry, subway, and local bus. A hotel’s location is important to us because we spend the majority of our time outdoors exploring the various neighborhoods. I was fortunate enough to experience both of Mandarin Oriental’s properties in Hong Kong, and guess what, they were Central!
