Wore some grey and navy wool separates for a day roaming
and exploring beautiful Chicago.

consisting of rich wools and modern cut cargos.
It was nice to finally be able to wear my wool pieces in the appropriate climate.
The cushioned footbed kept my feet comfortable for a full day of walking, and
the extended crew length kept my legs warm. I love when basics are taken to a new level
to appease the modern day Gent, and Mack Weldon has been hitting it spot on!
Couldn’t come to Chicago without a visit to Doughnut Vault.
We were surprised to see the burgeoning doughnut scene in the city and
can’t wait to return to try more. Make sure you arrive early because
most shops close at sell out which usually tends to be a few short hours after
Paired my blue gingham oxford by Twillory to continue on my color scheme
and add a little pazaaz to the outfit. I like to add subtle standout pieces while
still maintaing a clean and classic look. By adding small touches- gingham printed shirts,
colored solid socks, bracelets- you modernize
the look and begin to create your personal style.
The kind folks over at Twillory provided you a discount code: WINDYCITY for
your next purchase. . .Thanks guys!
The best thing about Fall is the opportunity to layer and
experiment with texture. Wool is one of my favorite materials because it
a) always keeps me warm, b) contrasts nicely with other materials, and c) is versatile.
Today’s wool on wool look is achieved by mixing 2 different patterns and colors.
The heather grey cargos offset the rich navy nicely.
I added a cardigan and gingham shirt- both navy- to draw attention
towards the center of my body. I added some
black double monks to class it up a bit, and quite frankly
have really been enjoying black shoes for day- yes, it’s a thing!
My new site is almost up and running, can’t wait for you all to see and try it out!
