Under The El
Ash and I spent the weekend exploring the wonderful city of Chicago.
People were friendly, snow was soft, days were long, and city was full of history at every corner.
Here’s what I wore…
Visiting the Mid-West this past week has been a change for the better.
This wool Desigual coat got me through the coldest days i’d ever experienced.
I bundled up underneath the toggled coat, and when the windchill hit,
I threw on my hood to continue venturing through what felt like ‘Gotham City’.
I added a warm beanie from H&M, and Topman gloves to keep me warm outdoors.
If you’re going to be out in the cold for several hours, invest in some good undergarments:
i.e. Long John’s, Thermals, and wool socks.
There are some great options by my friends over at American Trench.
Don’t forget to wrap a warm scarf around that neck, and finish off with a beanie, or wool lined cap.
Coat: Desigual, c/o

Boots: L.L. Bean
We took these photos under the El.
The train has to be one of my favorite parts of the city.
We rode the loop, over the frozen Chicago river, and adjacent to the beautiful skyline.
I was completely enamored by the architecture and history of Chicago.
We’ll be returning in the Spring to ride bikes, and cover more ground.
We’re heading to New York Wednesday for NYFW.
Luckily, Milwaukee and Chicago prepped me for the cold.
I’ll be taking along my Desigual coat amongst others, and seeing ya in the Big Apple.
